Client: Thomson Foundation
Project: Bali Media Forum
Aim 1: Create a video to raise awareness of the 2014 Bali Media Forum by using a combination of interviews with key policy makers and soundbites from participants to introduce the themes and concepts to be covered at the 2014 forum.
Aim 2: To create three additional interview based videos, each one focusing on a key theme of the 2014 Forum offering further insights and advice relating to that specific theme.Approach: This is the second time Vivid Fox have worked with the Thomson Foundation on the Bali Media Forum Project. While on location in Bali for the 2013 forum, we were able to obtain the majority of the interviews and soundbites required as the basis for the video. We also spent a few days filming various locations around the island of Bali so we would have a library of nice pictures we could use to add some flavour to the final promo video.
Once back in the UK, we filmed the remaining interviews in London, followed by the edit at VividFox HQ.The Edit: We wanted to do something a little different from the promo video for the 2013 Forum, which was a combination of talking heads, archive footage and graphics. It worked really well and fit is as a nice corporate video. This time we wanted to aim for something more creative, with more of a documentary feel and more of a narrative.
The Outcome: Our three minute love letter to Bali.
